Young Dramatists Society Stages “Natya Shastra” at Tagore Hall Srinagar

Srinagar, February 15, 2025: The Young Dramatists Society marked a significant milestone in its journey by presenting the theatre performance “Natya Shastra” at Tagore Hall, Srinagar, on February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The play, performed in Urdu and Kashmiri language , was part of Vishva Jan Rang, the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organized by the National School of Drama under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The artists who were performed the play . Arjumand Andrabi, Numan Manzoor, Sabir Rather, Usama Bin Kondroo. Wasaaqat Mehraj and it was directed by Altaf Hussain.
The event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Young Dramatists Society, highlighting its enduring contribution to theatre and the performing arts. “Natya Shastra” paid homage to classical and folk traditions, blending storytelling with contemporary themes.

The performance was attended by theatre enthusiasts, cultural scholars, and dignitaries, who lauded the society’s dedication to preserving and promoting theatrical heritage. The play’s dynamic execution and artistic depth resonated with the audience, further strengthening Kashmir’s theatrical landscape.
