Youth drowns in Kreeri Nallah, dies

A 23-year-old boy drowned into a nallah at Frashtar area of Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Witnesses told that a shepherd  drowned in nallah when he was bathing sheep. He slipped into the ballad and died on spot, they said

Soon after the incident, locals with help of police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the nallah and shifted the body to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kreeri where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Hospital authorities confirmed, the deceased Identified as Arif Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Rashid Malik of Tilagam Kreeri Baramull.
