Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) has been working for almost a decade and a half in the twin areas of Education and Employment Assistance. From a humble beginning in 2007, AMP has grown exponentially, and is present today in more than 100 Cities of India and as many as 16 Countries globally.
AamirEdresi,President AMP said Looking at the commendable work of all the NGO’s spread across the Country and for appreciating their outstanding contribution to Nation Building, AMP has decided to institute ‘AMP National Awards for Social Excellence ’.Ist edition of these awards will be given on 15 August 2021 at the National and State Level in the 3 categories namely Education, Employment/Livelihoods Assistance and Humanitarian Assistance.
Talking to the Press, AamirEdresy said AMP launched NGO Connectinitiative in 2020, which aims to harness the power of Individual NGOs into a Collaborative Movement of Change. The idea is to develop a network oralliance of NGOs working for various issues of Community & Nation Building and also to facilitate inter-organization co-operation and co-ordination for implementation of Welfare Projects & Activities across the Country.
“In the past 1 year more than 200 NGOs have connected with AMP and collaborated on various AMP projects likeNational Talent Search(NTS) – 2020,wherein 40,000 College Students participated from all over the Country. Then there was#O2ForAll (Oxygen Cylinders campaign) and #FeedthePoor Campaigns across the Country. There was also collaboration on Non-AMP projects like the Atal Tinkering Lab project fromNITI Aayog, in which wecollaborated with the Govt. allied partner Students Alliance LLPand helped the schools raise almost 8 crores in funds.” said RazakShaikh, Head- AMP Projects.
