Massive fire breaks out at Industrial Estate in Sopore

A massive fire broke out in the Industrial Estate area of Baba Raza in Sopore town on Wednesday evening, causing extensive damage to the property.

The blaze that broke out this evening has yet to be brought under control while the efforts are on to douse the flames.

However, the incident led to extensive damage to the double-storey structures.

“Fire and emergency teams, along with locals, promptly responded to the scene, and are working diligently to prevent the fire from spreading further across the estate,” eyewitnesses said.

The exact cause of the fire is being ascertained, however, the efforts are underway to fully extinguish the fire and assess the extent of the damage, officials said.
