11 Persons found using unauthorized VPNs in Ganderbal, Preventive Action taken: Police

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure public safety, cyber security, and maintenance of law and order, Ganderbal Police has taken preventive action against individuals found using VPN unauthorisedly in violation of the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Ganderbal.

A Police spokesperson said, During verification, 11 Persons were found using VPN services illegally in the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal and PS Kangan. Accordingly, istigasa under Sections 126/170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) was produced before the concerned Executive Magistrates, and the individuals were bound down under Section 126 BNSS to maintain good behaviour.

Ganderbal Police warns that any violation of lawful orders will invite strict legal action and urges the public to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies to maintain peace and security.

Ganderbal Police remains committed to ensuring safety and harmony in the district.
