At least 11 teachers of a school in central Kashmir’s Budgam district were suspended for remaining absent from the duty.
The order in this regard was issued by chief education officer (CEO) Budgam.
Officials said the 11 teachers posted in High School Humhama were found absent during the inspection conducted by a joint team of joint director, deputy director school education department and CEO Budgam on Saturday.
The CEO has also ordered stopping of monthly salary of three teachers in another school of the district for “dismal performance” of students in classrooms.
“Out of 27 teachers posted at Humhama school, 11 teachers were not present during the time of inspection. These absent teachers reached the school while inspection was already underway,” said the CEO Budgam.
He said the joint team of officials also visited High School (HS) chattergam, HSS BK Pora, Middle School (MS) Wagoora in BK Pora and MS Kralkpora.
“During our visit to HS Chattergam the academic feedback from students in various classes was not found good. We ordered that the monthly salary of three teachers be stopped,” said CEO Budgam.
