1141 fresh covid-19 cases surface in JK

Jammu and Kashmir reported 1141 fresh novel coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, taking the total count to 72190, officials said on Sunday.

Among the fresh cases including 47 travelers, 689 were from Jammu Division and 452 from Kashmir Division, they said. Since September 3, the Jammu and Kashmir has consistently recorded over a thousand cases every day.

Giving district-wise break of the cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 181, Budgam 61, Baramulla 34, Pulwama 35, Anantnag 30, Bandipora 33, Kupwara 45, Ganderbal 12, Kulgam 8, Shopian 13, Jammu 324, Rajouri 49, Udhampur 36, Kathua 51, Doda 41, Samba 38, Poonch 46, Ramban 21, Reasi 39 and Kishtwar 44.

Moreover, they said, 1365 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 797 from Jammu Division and 568 from Kashmir Division.
