A 12-year old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Yaripora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said here.

An official told the news agency that the girl (name withheld) from Yaripora hanged herself at her home today and she died on the spot.
The official said that it was not immediately known as to why the girl took this extreme step. “Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings in this regard,” he said—(KNO)
