Bandipora, Jammu & Kashmir – The 12th Dada Sir Knockout Football Tournament concluded with tremendous enthusiasm and community engagement in Bandipora, reaffirming ELFA International’s ongoing commitment to promoting Sports for Development, youth leadership, and positive social change through athletics.

Organised in partnership with Sports Club Bandipora, the tournament witnessed vibrant participation from young footballers across the district. The closing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Mr. Vasu Aggarwal (JKPS), DySP Bandipora, who attended as Guest of Honour, Mr. Nawab Mehran Khan, CEO, ELFA International as Chief Guest. Other guests included Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Mir, Vice President, ELFA International; Mr. Malik Abrar Altaf, Chief of Programs & Operations, ELFA International; Mr. Zuain Wani, Logistics Officer, ELFA International.
The final match was played between Hajin Heroes and Jamal Ghazi Football Club, culminating in a thrilling penalty shootout. After an intense contest, Jamal Ghazi Football Club emerged victorious, securing the championship title.
Guest of Honour, Mr. Vasu Aggarwal (JKPS), DySP Bandipora, commended the organisers for creating a platform that keeps young people engaged in constructive and disciplined activities. He remarked, “Events like these foster unity, resilience, and a positive mindset among our youth. Sports not only keeps young people physically fit but also steers them towards a life of purpose, away from negative influences. The Bandipora Police stands committed to supporting such youth-centric initiatives.”
As Chief Guest, Mr. Nawab Mehran Khan emphasized ELFA International’s long-term vision of empowering youth and protecting them from drugs and other social vulnerabilities. “Sports is not just recreation—it is a powerful tool for building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and healthy communities. ELFA International remains committed to nurturing youth leadership and providing safe, positive spaces for young people to grow,” he stated.
To recognize excellence and inspire greater participation in sports, ELFA International awarded:
• ₹40,000 to the winning team
• ₹20,000 to the runner-up team
• ₹5,000 to the Player of the Tournament
• ₹10,000 to the organising body
Trophies were also presented to honour participation and sportsmanship.
