20 injured in separate accidents in Rajouri

Twenty passengers were injured in two separate road accidents at Chingus and Dareri BG area along Rajouri highway stretch.

As per police officials, an accident took place after a bus bearing registration number JK02AL-0297 on way from Rajouri to Jammu hit a roadside rock at Chingus village.

Police said that 16 passengers were injured in the accident, who were taken to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where they all are undergoing treatment.

The injured have been identified as Munir Hussain (66) son of Sakhi Mohammad resident of Surankote, Ashia Kouser (35) wife of Mohammad Jamil, Mohammad Azain (9) son of Mohammad Jamil, Mohammad Azaf (6) son of Mohammad Jamil, all resident of Dandesar Nowshera, Abdul Qayoom (63) son of Ali Mohammad resident of Rajouri, Hassan Mohammad (66) son of Lal Din resident of Surankote, Mathai Lal (28) son of Ram Patiya, Neti (22) wife of Mathai Lal, Raj Kumar (25) son of Prabhu, all resident of Madhya Pradesh, Mohammad Rabbani (26) son of Kughu resident of Channi Prat, Khatija Begum (35) wife of Ghulam Nabi, Mohammad Ismail (55) son of Wali Mohammad resident of Lam, Abdul Hamid (55) son of Ata Mohammad resident of Jarran Wali Gali, Musrat Bi (22) wife of Mohammad Junaid, Mohammad Junaid (24) son of Nazir Hussain and four months old baby boy of Mohammad Junaid.

Police said that all the injured are undergoing treatment at GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri while police said to have taken up investigation of the case after registration of a FIR.

In second accident, a car fell into a roadside gorge after it was hit by a truck.

This accident took place at Dareri near Bhimber Gali under Manjakote police station.

Four persons traveling in the car sustained injuries in the accident, who were shifted to Primary Health Center (PHC) Manjakote where they are undergoing treatment.

The injured include Danish Maqbool (19) son of Maqbool Hussain, Parveen Akhtar wife of Ghulam Ahmad, Sehrish daughter of Ghulam Ahmad and Zulfkar begum daughter of Ghulam Ahmad—(KNO)
