20 persons quarantined after 3 fresh positive cases in Ganderbal

The District Administration Ganderbal today quarantined 20 more persons who are primary and secondary contacts of 3 new positive cases from Village Guzhama, Ganderbal.

Notably, the Village Guzhama is already declared Red Zone after two positive cases were detected in the village earlier.

Briefing the media, the District Magistrate, Shafqat Iqbal said that 3 fresh positive cases are sent to isolation at COVID-19 District Hospital, Ganderbal besides 20 persons are Hospital quarantined whose samples are also taken for testing.

The DM appealed the people to follow the do’s and don’ts, maintain social distancing and obey the advisories issued by the Health Department and District Administration. He also appreciated the surveillance teams for their tireless efforts in contact tracing.

Pertinently, to prevent the spread of the virus, the District Administration has intensified its efforts by implementing strict lockdown, aggressive contact tracing and sampling in red zones, carrying door to door information dissemination campaign and counseling general public for observing social distancing, importance of wearing mask to contain the deadly virus.

Besides, District Magistrate is regularly assessing the availability of essentials in the district and home delivery of ration, LPG and other essential commodities is carried out on regular basis, so that people do not face any inconvenience.
