The convoy moved along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway as authorities maintained strict security measures and traffic management to ensure the safe and smooth passage of pilgrims travelling to the holy Amarnath cave shrine.

Security personnel remained deployed at key locations along the route, while traffic was regulated to facilitate the movement of the convoy. Officials monitored the pilgrimage route to ensure that the yatra proceeded in an orderly manner.

Chanderkote, located in Ramban district, is one of the key transit points on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and witnesses the movement of yatra convoys during the annual pilgrimage.

Multi-layered security arrangements have been ensured for the Shri Amarnath Yatra, with security personnel deployed along the route and at designated halting points. Traffic management measures have also been implemented to ensure uninterrupted movement of pilgrims while maintaining the flow of other vehicles on the highway.

Officials said that the convoy continued its journey towards the Kashmir Valley under security escort. Necessary arrangements, including coordination among security agencies and civil administration, remained in place to facilitate the pilgrimage.

The annual Shri Amarnath Yatra attracts thousands of devotees from across the country, who travel to offer prayers at the holy cave shrine situated in the Himalayas. The administration has been making extensive arrangements for the pilgrimage, including security and traffic regulation.

Authorities have appealed to pilgrims to follow official advisories and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the smooth conduct of the yatra. They have also urged devotees to adhere to the designated travel schedule and directions issued by officials during the pilgrimage.

The convoy crossed Chanderkote without any reported disruption, and the pilgrimage continued under close monitoring by the administration and security agencies. (ANI)
