3 IAS, 14 KAS officers transferred in J-K

Jammu, Mar 21 2018

The Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred three IAS and 14 Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officers, an official spokesman said today.

The Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, in a meeting last evening issued orders for the transfers or postings, he said.

Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, was posted as special secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department, the spokesman said.

He said that Niraj Kumar, who is attached with the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, was posted as director of the Indian System of Medicine.

Kumar relieved Abdul Kabir Dar, secretary (Technical), Health and Medical Education department of the additional charge, the spokesman said.

IAS officer Vikas Kundal, additional deputy commissioner, Srinagar, was posted as deputy commissioner, Kargil, on the retirement on superannuation of KAS officer Gulzar Hussain on March 31, he said.

Dar has been given the additional charge of commissioner, Food Safety, relieving Pawan Kotwal, principal secretary, Health and Medical Education department from the post, the spokesman said.

KAS officer Talat Parvez Rohella, deputy commissioner, Kulgam, was posted as secretary, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction department, he said.

He will also hold the charge of administrative secretary, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens department. Rohella relieves IAS officer Khurshid Ahmad Shah, commissioner/secretary, General Administration department, of the additional charge, the spokesman said.

KAS officer Reva Kumari, special secretary, Culture department, was posted as secretary, Ladakh Affairs department.

Nazim Zai Khan, KAS, special secretary, Resident Commission of the J-K government in New Delhi, was posted as director of the Horticulture, Planning and Marketing department, he said.

KAS officer Bashir Ahmad Dar, special secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, was posted as special secretary, General Administration department.

Rajesh Sharma, KAS, Director Handlooms, was posted as special secretary, School Education Department.

KAS officer Rajinder Singh Tara, director at the Industries and Commerce department, Jammu, was posted as deputy commissioner, Samba, relieving Sheetal Nanda of the post, the spokesman said.

Ravi Shanker Sharma, KAS, OSD with the Minister for Industries and Commerce, was posted as director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu.

KAS officer Sajad Hussain Ganai, deputy commissioner, Bandipora, was posted as deputy commissioner, Kulgam, he said.

Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, KAS, director at the Horticulture, Planning and Marketing department, was posted as director, Horticulture, Kashmir.

KAS officer Rubina Kounsar, who was awaiting orders of posting in the General Administration department, was posted as Director Handlooms.

Mohammad Qasim Wani, KAS, additional district development commissioner, Baramulla, was posted as director, Social Welfare department, Kashmir.

Sudershan Kumar, KAS, chief executive officer, Tourism Development Authority, Lakhanpur-Sarthal, was posted as additional secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Rakesh Kumar Srangal, KAS, additional secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, was posted as director, School Education, Jammu, against an available vacancy.

Rajesh Sharma, KAS, joint commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, was posted as additional secretary, Power Development department. (PTI)
