281 to complete quarantine tomorrow: ADC Srinagar
At least 324 persons who were quarantined here in different hotels and other Government Buildings have been tested negative. All these persons have been sent back to their homes with a direction that they should quarantine themselves in homes for next 14 days.
Out of these 324 persons, 103 are from Srinagar, 6 from Budgam, 15 Shopian, 11 Kupwara, 11 Sopore, 20 Baramulla, 32 Anantnag, 10 Pulwama, 5 Bandipora, 6 Ganderbal and 2 from Tangmarg town of Baramulla district and rest were from other districts.
These persons were quarantined at different 4 locations. 66 persons were quarantined at one place, 63 at another, 42 and 56 persons simultaneously were quarantined at two different government buildings.
All these 324 persons were having travel histories and were quarantines shortly after they landed in Srinagar.
These people included females and children as well. They exhibited a positive attitude and said landing in quarantine was in their interest.
“Quarantine was a different experience for me and my family. We will quarantine ourselves at home as well for at least 14 days more,”
Most of the people quarantined, thanked Srinagar Administration for the hospitality and better facilities they were provided during the period of quarantine.
“We got everything from the administration and we really thank them for the arrangements they had made for us,” a group of people outside the hotel said.
Administration had arranged vehicles for these people and they were ferried to their respective district headquarters.
Assistant Commissioner Srinagar, Hanif Balkhi told that more people quarantined at different places in coming days whose tests will turn out negative will be sent back to their homes with a direction that they should quarantine themselves in their respective homes.
He added that 281 persons quarantined in different hotels in Dalgate will be sent back to their homes tomorrow (KNT)
