37 Years old nurse found dead in rented accommodation in Srinagar

A 37-year-old nurse was found dead at her rented accommodation in Soura area of Srinagar on Tuesday.

Officials said that police has recovered the body of deceased, who was working as nurse at a private hospital in Srinagar.

Reports said the nurse hailing from Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district was found unconscious at her rented accommodation at Soura Srinagar.

A police officer said that soon after receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

“The body has been taken to a hospital for medico legal formalities including the postmortem,” officer said.

The officer identified the deceased as Aafrooza Akhter, wife of Raouf Ahmad Shah of Thamankoot, Verinag in Anantnag district.

Afrooza, was working at Trust Hospital (Private) in Soura, Srinagar and there was no visible injury on her body, the officer said.

Apparently, the nurse died due to cardiac arrest , the officer said, adding that police has started further investigation to ascertain the actual cause of death .
