50 JKAS Officers Appointed as Liaison Officers for Jammu Kashmir International Film Festival

SRINAGAR 21 Aug : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed 50 officers as liaison officers for visiting dignitaries and delegates attending the first International Film Festival of Jammu Kashmir, scheduled to be held from September 7 to 10, 2026.

The appointments were made through Government Order No. 1422-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department on August 21, 2026. The officers have been assigned the responsibility of liaising with visiting dignitaries and delegates during the festival.

The appointed officers include JKAS officers from various departments and Junior Scale JKAS officers posted across different administrative and field assignments in Kashmir.

Among the senior JKAS officers appointed are Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, Deputy Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kashmir; Bashir Ahmad Padder, Assistant Commissioner, Panchayat, Srinagar; Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Assistant Commissioner, State Taxes, Enforcement (Central), Kashmir; Mohammad Altaf Bhat, Collector, Lake Conservation and Management Authority, Srinagar; and Mirza Shahid Ali Beigh, Deputy Director, Tribal Affairs, Kashmir.

The list also includes Aijaz Ahmad Shigon, Personnel Officer in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, JK; Hakim Riyaz-ul-Haq, Deputy Secretary, School Education Department; Mushtaq Ahmad Maqdoomi, Deputy Director (Administration), Directorate of Social Welfare Kashmir; Sakhi Mohd. Khan, Deputy Secretary, Social Welfare Department; Dr Iqbal Hussain Mir, Personnel Officer, Directorate of School Education, Kashmir; and Dr Irfan Ali Khan, Deputy Secretary, Public Works (R and B) Department.

Other JKAS officers appointed include Qaiser Mehmood, Deputy Secretary, ARI and Trainings Department; Tahira Tabasum, Deputy Director, Handicrafts, Kashmir; Syed Namaz Tabasam Shah, Assistant Commissioner in the State Taxes Department, Jammu; Tahir Ahmad Magray, Secretary, Srinagar Municipal Corporation; and Shafqet Ali, Deputy Secretary, Jal Shakti Department.

The Junior Scale JKAS officers appointed as liaison officers include officials serving as Block Development Officers, Sub-Treasury Officers, Deputy Registrars, Under Secretaries, Functional Managers and other field and departmental officers across Kashmir.

The list includes Shokath Ahmad Shoketh, Ifham Shah, Tajamul Yousuf, Mohd. Arshad, Talat Mahmood Wani, Fatima, Sheikh Ansar Hussain, Iqra Syed, Adnan Nazir, Amir Ul Haq Nath, Jahan Zaib Khan, Sonabar Altaf, Ubaid Ul Khazir, Gulzar Bin Rehman, Sahir Majeed, Mohd Aurif Wagay, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Jahangir Ahmad Shah, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Malik Kamila Mushtaq, Mir Dawar Habib, Shafia Maqbool, Gohar Aarzoo Chaand, Gazi Abdullah, Tafheem Firdous, Nadia Shameem, Reyaz Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Huzaif Farooq, Bushra Ashraf Shah, Shajat Farooq, Tabasum Farooq and Syed Jaasirah Syedain.

The government has directed all appointed officers to report to the Director, Information, JK, Srinagar, on August 31, 2026, for briefing on their duties and responsibilities in connection with the festival.
