50 sheep killed by lightning strike in Doda

 Srinagar, July 13 : At least 50 sheep were killed while dozens other sustained injuries by a lightning strike in Doda village of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday

Nitu Singh son of Sundhoor Singh of  Khaljugaser, the owner of the livestock, reported that approximately 50 sheep were killed and ten others injured after lightning struck the area.

He has also appealed to the district administration of Doda to send a team from the concerned department to assess the situation and treat the injured animals.

“I have suffered a huge loss, and the administration should provide compensation because this is my only livelihood,” he said.
