SRINAGAR 06 Jun : A 60-year-old tourist from Hyderabad was declared brought dead after being shifted to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Mir Sajid Ali, son of Mir Mehmood, a resident of Hyderabad, who was staying at a hotel in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar.

Officials said the tourist was brought to SMHS Hospital, where doctors examined him and declared him brought dead.

The exact cause of death was not immediately known, and authorities were ascertaining the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Hospital sources confirmed that the body was received at the hospital and that the necessary medico-legal formalities were being carried out.

Police have taken cognisance of the matter, and further proceedings are underway.
