SRINAGAR 10 Jul : A 68-year-old man was killed after being attacked by a bear in the upper reaches of the Darhal area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Amin, son of Ali Mohammad, a resident of Dhok Jangwala, Panj Katha, they said.

Officials said the incident occurred when the elderly man was in the upper reaches of Darhal. He sustained critical injuries in the attack and died on the spot.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
