‘84,000 posts vacant in J&K departments’

Around 84,000 posts are vacant in different government departments in J&K, a parliamentary panel report has revealed.

While there are 76,453 non-gazetted and class IV vacancies in the different departments, the remaining vacant position are in in the gazetted cadre, as per the report.

The report which was tabled in the ongoing session of the Parliament has stressed on the need to expedite the process for filling the vacancies in J&K which has been grappling with rising unemployment.
