Padderi NGOs felicitates Sadaket Malik extended support to indigenous language movement

SCOPE (Sapphire Culture of Padder Elite), Paddar Welfare Front, and Women development council Padder organised a felicitation ceremony and felicitated Sadaket Ali Malik for documentation of 22 languages of erstwhile Doda and revival of their script and scheduled language status viz a viz promotion of culture.

A function was organised under the leadership of AM Bichoo and Mahinder Rana, the NGOs of Padder appreciated sh Malik for development of grammer of all the western pahari languages including padri and a language movement in the erstwhile Doda putting together atleast 15 literary groups belonging to 22 linguistic zones of Doda Kishtwar and Ramban. The function was attended by a large number of cultural and social activists of Padder including writers and artists.

The NGOs has extended support to the on going indigenous language movement. It is to note that Paddri is being documented with the support of Jammu and Kashmir Government and CIIL Mysore and the efforts of Malik in this direction has been galvinized by intellectual class and the writers and NGOs at large. The NGOs which became part of the Pahari Core committee includes SCOPE Padder, Padder Welfare Front Woment Development council Padder, Kishtwar Bazm i Adab, and many others. 

Speaking after the felicitation Sh sadaket Malik said that this language movement will help in a long run and provide justice to more then 10 lakh population of erstwhile Doda. He added that Padder is a historical area and has several antiquities undiscovered in Chattergarh and Gulab Garh besides two kinds of race mangolian and Aryan race is prevalent. The NGOs became a part of Indigenous language movement of erstwhile Doda.
