A postgraduate student pursuing MSc Zoology at Sardar Patel University in the Western Indian State of Gujarat allegedly committed suicide, however, his family smells foul play, demanding an investigation.

The victim has been identified as Sameer Ahmad Thokar son of Muhammad Shafi Thokar of Nanibugh Kulgam who was found hanging inside his room.
The victim as per family was a topper and had no reason to take this extreme step
