The Jammu and Kashmir government is holding a concert by award-winning singer Adnan Sami on the banks of Dal lake in Srinagar to “help the tourism sector which has seen a huge slump during past two years”, a media report said today.
The concert comes on the heels of another musical performance by a migrant Kashmiri Pandit singer Aabha Hanjura who performed in a show “Saaz-e-Kashmir” at Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here, overlooking the Dal Lake.
Secretary Tourism Muhammad Hussain Malik said the concert will be held at the same venue on October 7, reported Outlook India.
According to the report, the chief secretary is holding a high-level meeting next week to see the arrangements.
