Advisor Farooq Khan meets delegations; assesses their issues, concerns

A number of delegations and individuals from different areas today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, here at the civil secretariat and projected their demands and grievances.Prominent among those who met the Advisor included delegation of Roll Ball Association, Gujjar community delegation from Shahpur Kandi, Kathua, led by Syed Choudhary besides deputation of Jammu and Kashmir Gymnastic Association led by its President, Kiran Wattal.

The Gujjar delegation demanded their rehabilitation as their houses are coming under Shahpur Kandi Barrage construction project. While interacting with J&K gymnast Bavleen Kour who has been selected for the 38th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship to be held in Japan from 27th to 31st October 2021, Advisor appreciated and complimented her for being selected for such a high profile sports event.

Advisor also honored gold medalist of Master 1 category of Power Lifting in the district championship, Khushwinder Singh.Other deputationists, who called on the Advisor, apprised him of their issues and concerns urging for an early redressal of the same.Advisor gave a patient hearing to all the deputations and individuals assuring them that their issues would be taken up with the concerned for redressal on priority.
