Ahead of Budget Session, CM Omar Abdullah holds second round of pre-budget talks

For the second consecutive day, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday held pre-budget consultations with key departments to review priorities, assess sectoral requirements and outline development imperatives ahead of the Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly beginning February 2, 2026.

The meetings focused on aligning departmental proposals with overall development goals, strengthening service delivery and addressing pressing public needs across sectors.

The consultative process will continue on January 21 and January 22 with another 15 key departments.

The Budget for 2026–27 will be presented by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the Assembly on February 6. This will be the second budget to be presented by the Chief Minister.
