Srinagar, August 22 : JKNC Vice President Kashmir and Incharge Lal Chowk constituency, Ahsan Pardesi, today raised his concern over the reduction in the age limit for JKAS examinations, calling it a grave disservice to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement addressing the issue, Pardesi expressed deep concern over the reduced age limit, which has sparked widespread discontent among aspirants.

“I am deeply troubled by the reduction in the age limit for the JKAS examinations, a decision that forces many capable and deserving candidates to forgo their aspirations of public service. This is a grave disservice that cannot be overlooked,” he stated.

Pardesi highlighted the stark disparity between the age limits in Jammu and Kashmir and those in other states, where a more generous allowance of 38 years is granted.

“Such a blatant discrepancy shows a disregard for the well-being and fair treatment of our dedicated aspirants. This is a grave injustice that cannot be tolerated,” he added.

He further remarked on the impact this decision has on the people of Jammu and Kashmir, whose struggles have only been exacerbated by what he described as a “shortsighted and demoralizing decision.”

Pardesi called for immediate action to rectify the situation, stating, “To further compound their trials by denying them the same opportunities extended to their counterparts in other states is a travesty that must be swiftly addressed.”

Pardesi affirmed that the time has come to right this wrong and ensure that the aspirations of the youth are met with fairness and respect.
