Srinagar 18 May : The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Awantipora has issued a fresh recruitment notification for faculty positions in various departments, opening up opportunities for medical professionals across multiple specialisations.
According to Advertisement No. 67/2026 dated May 15, 2026, the recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 94 Group ‘A’ faculty posts, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Additional Professor and Professor across 40 departments.
The posts include Assistant Professors (85), Associate Professors (5), Additional Professors (2) and Professors (2), with applications to be submitted online through the official portal from May 20 to June 18, 2026.
As per the notification, the institute has been established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) and functions under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as part of the national AIIMS network.
The pay scale for the advertised posts ranges from Level 12 to Level 14-A under the 7th Central Pay Commission, depending on the designation and eligibility criteria.
The recruitment is expected to strengthen medical education, training and specialised healthcare services at AIIMS Awantipora, which is among the upcoming premier healthcare institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
