Srinagar, Dec 22 : Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi today expressed deep grief over the demise of noted socio-political leader and respected intellectual Dr Ali Mohammad Shahnaz of Khansahib, Budgam, terming his passing a significant loss to society. I
Inam Un Nabi said Dr Shahnaz remained closely connected with the aspirations of the people and was known for his thoughtful politics, scholarship and literary contributions. He recalled that Dr Shahnaz had contested the 1983 Assembly elections from Khansahib and remained actively engaged in public life. AIP General Secretary Nazir Ahmad Khan visited the bereaved family and extended heartfelt condolences and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
In a separate condolence message, AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi also expressed profound sorrow over the demise of renowned Kashmiri broadcaster, writer and poet Abdul Ahad Farhad, describing him as a towering cultural and literary figure of Kashmir.
Inam Un Nabi said that Abdul Ahad Farhad devoted his life to promoting literature, culture and meaningful discourse through broadcasting and writing, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. “His voice and words enriched Kashmiri society and strengthened our cultural identity,” he said.
The AIP Chief Spokesperson extended condolences to the families, friends and admirers of both Dr Ali Mohammad Shahnaz and Abdul Ahad Farhad, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the highest place in Jannah and gives patience and strength to their families in this hour of grief.
