Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi and Vice Chairman Adv. G.N. Shaheen have expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Bureau Chief of The Week, calling it a major loss to Kashmir’s media fraternity.

Inam Un Nabi said the news is “deeply heartbreaking,” describing Tariq Sahib as a humble, honest and insightful journalist whose guidance and warmth were cherished by all. He said the loss is personal and painful, as Kashmir has lost a principled voice and he has lost a sincere friend.
