Amid Coronavirus ciris, burglars stole a cash filled chest of a shrine in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Police sources told news agency that burglars broke into the shrine of ‘Astan Mehmood Bukhari’ (RA) and stole a cash filled chest.
The burglars after stealing the chest broke it into a nearby paddy field and fled away after decamping cash from it.
A police official said that the broken chest was recovered from the field and a case in this regard was registered and investigation set into motion.
Pertinently, most of the shrines in Valley are deserted due to government enforced lockdown in wake of Covid-19 threat.
