Srinagar, July 2:Eminent writer, columnist, and interfaith scholar Amir Suhail Wani was conferred the prestigious “Nishan-i-Tehseen” (Certificate of Appreciation) by JK Maraz Kamraz Academy during a literary function held yesterday at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. The honour was presented with a traditional Kashmiri shawl and a citation in recognition of his outstanding intellectual and literary contributions. JK Maraz Kamraz is among the prominent literary and cultural organisations dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Kashmiri language, literature and culture.
The citation acknowledged Wani as a distinguished scholar, writer and public intellectual whose thought-provoking writings have enriched contemporary discourse. It noted that despite living with cerebral palsy, he has transformed physical limitations into a source of intellectual strength, emerging as an inspiring voice for the younger generation.
