Special Focus on Jammu & Kashmir Security Grid

Raipur, Nov 29 (KNC): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated the 60th DGsP/IGsP Conference in Raipur, declaring that the government aims to make the country “entirely free of Naxalism” before the next annual meet.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Shah also laid special emphasis on the security situation in Jammu & Kashmir, calling terrorism in the region “a challenge that has been reduced to its lowest level, but still demands uncompromising vigilance.”

During the closed-door session on national security, the Home Minister reviewed counterterror operations, infiltration patterns, hybrid terror modules and narco-terror networks active in Jammu & Kashmir.

Senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau and J&K Police presented detailed assessments on recent operational successes and emerging threats from across the border.

Shah stated that the Modi government has delivered lasting solutions to three major security challenges Left Wing Extremism, insurgency in the Northeast and terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir.

“The J&K security grid today is stronger, faster and far more coordinated than ever,” he said, urging state and central agencies to maintain pressure on all terror ecosystems.

He also highlighted the role of new criminal justice laws in strengthening policing across the Union Territory, especially in areas such as digital surveillance, radicalisation tracking and intelligence coordination.

The conference, being held in Raipur for the first time, will deliberate on border management, counterterror strategies, and advanced technological interventions in policing. A dedicated session on J&K’s border security, drone surveillance and counter-infiltration measures is scheduled for Saturday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the valedictory session on the final day.(KNC)
