New Delhi, February 3: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir from February 5 to 7 for a comprehensive security review, meetings with political leaders, and launch of development projects.
Official sources told the that Shah arrives in Jammu at 5 PM on February 5 and heads straight to Lok Bhawan for evening meetings with political leaders.
On February 6 morning, he will visit the International Border at Hiranagar in Kathua district to inspect new BSF gadgetry aimed at curbing infiltration. In the afternoon, he will chair a high-level security review at Lok Bhawan.
On February 7 morning, Shah will travel to Srinagar to inaugurate various development projects for J&K. He departs for Raipur, Chhattisgarh, that afternoon.
This marks Shah’s second security review for J&K in under a month, following a New Delhi meeting on January 8. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and paramilitary top brass visited Jammu on January 14-15 afterward.
