To be a knowledgeable person, a scholar, is honourable. So much, that it’s given precidence over having a noble Lineage. But the validity of this honour remains in the eyes of God only till it is not accompanied by arrogance. If a person is Knowledgeable and Arrogant, the combination makes him fit for the league which is headed by the Cursed Satan himself, and his fellow courtiers are people like Nimrod, Firawn, Shaddat and so on.
We live in times where criterion for being a learned Scholar, be it an Alim e Deen or Peer e Tareeqat, is having a viral YouTube channel. Where the Stature of a Scholar is measured not by his Knowledge and Humility, but the elevation of his stage, decoration of the venue, Size of his Chair. The bigger the protocol, the bigger the car, the more he is buried in garlands, the Great his Spiritual station and stature. If a poor labourer standing in the queue for hours get’s to kiss his hand with utmost difficulty, he has to be thankful to God for the rest of his life. It’s not the convenience but the level of difficulty in reaching out to him that’s going to determine whether he is an important Saint of the Mordern Times or a not so important Darvesh.
Well, when the Youth gets disillusioned of these narcissistic cult leaders and their doings, and offcourse that of their obedient Human robots, they even go as far as making the same generalization to entire Islamic world with all it’s Scholars and Saints. I don’t blame them, it’s us who has failed them. It’s our character, our personality, our actions, our hunger for superiority and supremacy, our greed for Stature, Power, Importance and Dominance. All these horrible venomous traits emerging from the Fountain of our Arrogance. May Allah forgive us and protect us, our families, our children and our friends from the Sharr of such narcissistic cult leaders.
So, this is my advice to all the seekers of the Divine. On the path of Sulook, you will discover this Firawn within you, so you’ll also have to discover the divine realities and secrets of Musa to defeat The Firawn within you. You may encounter the Nimrod with his fire and fierce, you’ll have to walk on the Path of Ibrahim and entrust yourself to God. You may also come across Abu Jahl and Abu Lahb, the divine blanket of Mohammaden realities will be your only abode and shelter from it. Keep yourself humble and be of help to fellow Human beings, knowing that they’re important elements of your journey to the divine. So, you should look at the poor, destitute, needy, orphans as the friends of God and give them respect because they’re the ones who are taking you in the divine presence. If they make Dua for you, there is hope that you may succeed on the path of love. So have gratitude for them, love and respect them like you love and respect the Saints because just like saints, their love, service and prayers will take you closer to Allah faster than anything else. This is my advice to all the Murideen, Friends, Brothers and Sisters. My Sincere Duas and Humble regards to all of you.
