ANC Sr Vice President Mr Muzzafar Shah has condemned the demolition of houses of Nomads at Roop Nagar, Jammu and demanded immediate action on JDA officials involved in this dastardly act.
If the Gujjar and Bakerwals are being uplifted after the Abrogation of 370 and 35A , implementation of forest rights act is under process as claimed by the UT administration, then why is the BJP administration hellbent on demolishing the houses of Nomads and Bakerwals residing since decades in their homes, asked Mr Muzzafar Shah. On the claims of the central government that financial assistance is being provided to these homeless families to built their houses, then why are the J&K Gujjar and Bakarwal families in the jammu region dragged out from their homes and their houses demolished. This is a criminal act that the people of Jammu & Kashmir vehemently denounce & demand severest action against the authorities concerned, the ANC Sr VP said.
The LG Shri Manoj Sinha should order an immediate halt to such gruesome tactics being perpetuated on this weaker section of our society & put an end to the harassment & intimidation practices conducted to divide the Gujjar/Bakerwals and Pahari communities for the political interests of the BJP. This is highly regrettable & shameful & will boomerang as is happening in the rest of the country, Mr Shah stated.
Mr Muzzafar Shah has demanded immediate action on JDA authorities and construction/ restoration of Houses demolished.
