A new show ‘Story 9 Months Ki’ is coming up and filmmaker Farah Khan shared an open letter about being an IVF mother. Thanking Farah, actress Anita Hassanandani wrote a note on her decision to embrace motherhood many years after their marriage.
She wrote in the note, “What if I had given in to the people asking me to become a mother just because I was married? Then I would be deceiving myself more than anyone else. It’s so important to understand what women want out of their lives and letting them make their choices!” The picture which she posted, reads, ‘It’s a woman’s call’. She added, “@farahkhankunder ‘s heartfelt letter is another confirmation that I made the right choice to wait till I was ready. Thank you for making us believe that motherhood and reiterating that #ItsAWomansCall.”

She has also lauded the show ‘Story 9 Months Ki’, which delves into the subject of motherhood through IVF. Anita wrote, “It inspires women with bold and independent characters like Alia. This character chooses to be a single mother through IVF. It’s an important decision and I am glad to see the portrayal of such strong women characters on tv. A line that Alia says in the show, Agar pyaar bina shaadi ho sakti hai, toh baap ke bina baccha kyu nahi? – really stayed with me and made me think.”
Married to Rohit Reddy, and the couple is expecting their first baby. (timesofindia)
