Anjuman – Srinagar Cultural Forum Releases Dr. Mirza Rouf Hussain Beigh’s Poetic Work “Noori Wahid”

Srinagar, October 20 : Anjuman – Srinagar Cultural Forum today organized an impressive literary event to release the book “Noori Wahid” authored by Dr. Mirza Rouf Hussain Beigh, a distinguished physician and noted literary personality of the valley. The function was held at Standard Public High School, Srinagar, and witnessed a graceful gathering of intellectuals, scholars, writers, poets, and literary enthusiasts.

The ceremony was graced by several eminent personalities including famous scholar Dr. Ghulam Ali Gulzar, Convener, Kashmiri Board, Sahitya Akademi New Delhi Prof Shad Ramzan, renowned broadcaster and writer Bashir Arif, physician and poet Dr. Shakeel Shafai, renowned poet and journalist Imdad Saqi, and acclaimed writer and broadcaster Abid Gowhar.

The event commenced with Tilawat and Naat recitations by the students of Standard Public High School, setting a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Syed Abid Gowhar conducted the proceedings with professional grace and eloquence.

“Noori Wahid” is a poetic collection that includes Hamd, Naat, Manqabat, and Nowha, reflecting the author’s profound spiritual devotion and refined poetic expression. The book marks Dr. Rouf’s seventh publication, adding another milestone to his literary journey.

A detailed review of the book was presented by Syed Abid Gowhar, who highlighted the thematic depth, spiritual resonance, and linguistic beauty of the work.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Shad Ramzan lauded Dr. Rouf’s literary pursuit, remarking, “Dr. Rouf’s poetry carries the fragrance of faith and the rhythm of devotion. His verses are a reflection of inner illumination and spiritual discipline.”

Dr. Ghulam Ali Gulzar, in his address, emphasized the creative sincerity of the author, stating, “The poetic expression of Dr. Rouf is both heartfelt and disciplined. He bridges the world of science and spirituality through his words, making his poetry a mirror of his soul.”

Bashir Arif described “Noori Wahid” as “a sincere and spiritually rich addition to devotional literature in Urdu and Kashmiri. Dr. Rouf’s pen moves with both emotion and insight, blending tradition with contemporary sensitivity.”

Speakers unanimously praised Dr. Rouf Hussain Beigh for his contribution to literature alongside his distinguished service in medicine. They appreciated his unwavering zeal for writing and his commitment to enriching devotional poetry, describing “Noori Wahid” as a valuable addition to the contemporary poetic tradition of the valley.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from renowned award winning artist Arshid Sauleh, who thanked all dignitaries, participants, and the host institution for their support in making the event a literary success.
