Srinagar, Mar 19 : Senior National Conference leader and Member Parliament on Thursday said that Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party is a combination of renegades, political conspirators and defeated poll contestants of yesteryears.
Lone said that followers of renegades like Kuka Parray and politicians defeated in yesteryears can’t be substitute to National Conference.
Rejecting the allegations of propagating dynasty politics, the National Conference leader said the people who conspired with successive political regimes in Delhi in 1953 and 1984 have been already rejected as they not lost one but several elections in the past.
Saying that both Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have demonstrated their ability and capacity to lead National Conference from the front for the last several years, Lone said that Ali Mohammad Sagar the present General Secretary of the party does not belong to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s family.
Asserting that everyone in National Conference has the right to raise voice of dissent, the National Conference leader said provincial and district presidents of the family have come from the ground and don’t belong to any political family of Jammu and Kashmir.
Alleging that Apni Party is creation of BJP the ruling party at the centre and central government’s intelligence wing Intelligence Bureau (IB), Lone said renegades, conspirators and defectors of yesteryears have no relevance in Jammu and Kashmir and are nowhere connected with the people at the grass roots.
