Srinagar, Mar 28 : Expressing grief over the loss of lives in a snow avalanche at Zojila Pass, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday described the incident as a “heartbreaking tragedy.”
At least seven people lost their lives and five others were injured after a snow avalanche struck several vehicles at the strategic pass on Friday.
In a post on X, Bukhari extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
“It is deeply distressing to know that at least seven people have lost their lives and five others have been injured after a snow avalanche struck several vehicles at Zojila Pass today. This is a heartbreaking tragedy,” Bukhari said.
The Apni Party president said he prayed for the families to find strength and courage during the difficult time, while wishing a “quick and full recovery” to those injured in the incident. (KNS)
