Arms, ammo seized during joint search in Kulgam orchards

Kulgam, July 29 : Security forces on Wednesday recovered arms and ammunition during a joint search operation in the Tantrypora–Sursnoo orchard area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Sources told the news agency that acting on specific intelligence shared by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint search operation was launched by Kulgam Police, the 34 Rashtriya Rifles and the 18 Battalion of the CRPF in the Tantrypora–Sursnoo orchards.

They said the joint team recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the area during the operation.

“The recovered material has been seized and further investigation has been taken up,” the sources said.
