Jammu, September 26 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organisation) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Ashok Koul, has completed his tenure in the organisational post and has not resigned, party sources clarified.
Koul has served as the BJP’s organisational General Secretary in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh for nearly 12 years, overseeing the party’s organisational affairs and activities across the two Union Territories.
Following the completion of his tenure, Koul has relinquished charge of the post. He is expected to return to his parent organisation, in accordance with the organisational process.
The clarification comes amid reports and speculation regarding Koul’s status in the BJP organisation. Party sources maintained that his departure from the post should be viewed as the completion of his tenure rather than a resignation.
During his long tenure, Koul remained closely associated with the BJP’s organisational activities in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and played a key role in strengthening and coordinating the party structure across the region.
