J&KSM demands fair selection as per admission procedure.
In yet another bizarre incident, Kashmir University had issued a notification dated 30-03-2021 wherein aspirants who had appeared in the entrance test of 2 year LLM programme at Varisty’s School of Law were directed to submit the hard copy of their Application Form along with xerox and original copies of all documents including marks sheetsof all semesters of the qualifying examinations (i.e. 1st semester to 10th semester) in the Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir by or before 01-04-2021. Further the candidates were directed to submit the xerox copies of their marks sheets from semesters 1 to 10 upto 1st of April falling which their papers won’t be evaluated.
The entrance test for the said programme has been held on March 15 and the selection list is yet to come.
“They are making mockery of the selection list. How come is it possible to submit all the xerox copies of all semesters within two days ” Said one of the LLM aspirantAnother aspirant raised serious concerns on the notification issued by Director Admissions informing LLM aspirants to submit their marks cards within two days.
“They (KU authorities) should have informed us before the examination or at the time of submission of application or after the declaration of results. Doing it in the middle raises questions on the upcoming selection list.”
J&K Students Movement (J&KSM) demands a fair inquiry on whose directions the said controversial notification was issued and requests Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University to intervene and save the careers of many candidates.
