Born in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and raised in the UAE, 10-year-old Atiqa Mir has emerged as one of the world’s most exciting young kart racers. She is also the first Indian child to receive support from Formula 1, marking a significant milestone for Indian motorsport.

Atiqa began karting at the age of five under the guidance of her father, Asif Nazir Mir, a former national karting champion. From her early days on the track, she competed against older boys and consistently demonstrated exceptional confidence, discipline, and speed.

Growing up in a region with virtually no motorsport ecosystem, Atiqa’s rise has been extraordinary. Her journey reflects determination, family support, and sheer talent. Today, she stands as a symbol of pride for Kashmir, for India, and for young girls across Asia who aspire to excel in competitive sports.

Major Achievements

• First female racer to win a race at the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy at Le Mans

• First female Vice Champion in the Mini R category of the UAE IAME National Karting Championship
