Authorities on Tuesday discharged 32 persons from JNV Shahkote of north Kashmir’s Uri tehsil of Baramulla district after completing mandatory 14 days of quarantine period. At the occasion SDM Uri Riyaz Ahmad Malik appealed those who have kept their travel and contact history hidden, to come forward voluntarily and save the lives of yours and your community members.
In presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri Riyaz Ahmad Malik, 32 persons who recently returned from several parts of country and abroad were allowed to walk home.
SDM Uri said that “After returned from outside parts, 32 persons were kept into JNV Shahkote for quarantine. They were keenly investigated and monitored by medical experts during the period”.
Besides compassionate approach of medicos while combating Covid-19 pandemic, quarantined persons also cooperated maturely and provided full support to authority which is exemplary.
SDM Uri appealed those who have kept their travel and contact history hidden so far, to come forward voluntarily for the sake of humanity and cooperate with authorities in this regard.
“You have not committed any theft or robbery. While concealing travel and contact history you are not only putting your lives at risk but your family members, neighbors and other community members as well”, SMD said.
