An a statement issued Awantipora Police said that Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers near Imamabara Wakherwan Awantipora.

The two arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat resident of Renzipora and Waseem Ahmad Wani resident of Baderwan Pulwama and were arrested while they were travelling in Auto Load Carrier JK03F-8420 from Pulwama to Awantipora. 15 kg of Poppy Straw was recovered from their possession.
The Auto Load carrier used for the commission of the offence has also been seized.
