Former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday extended his warm greetings to the people of the country, particularly the Muslim Ummah, on the auspicious occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan.
In his message, Azad prayed for peace, prosperity and harmony among people and urged them to imbibe the true spirit of the sacred month.
“Let this auspicious day strengthen peace, prosperity and universal brotherhood among us all. The holy month of Ramazan teaches selflessness and inspires us to help the needy and the poor. Fasting is a pious practice that purifies one’s soul,” Azad said.
He hoped that the occasion would further promote compassion, unity and goodwill in society.
