Family members of accused Asif Ahmad Bhat from Rehmania Colony Srinagar, Zahid Farooq Khan of Nowhatta and another one said they are protesting here after reports came through different media platforms that five persons of which some are lodged in Central jail have been accused in the murder case.

Alleging that the duo has been ‘severely interrogated’ for more than one month, the family members demanded that matter must be investigated independently so that truth may come to fore.
We were never allowed to meet them and through interrogation, trio were framed in the case.

They said that they innocents and they have been detained and framed under fake charges and matter must be investigated.
They requested LG Governor to look into the matter and have proper investigation into the matter.

Qadri was shot dead on September 24 at his residence in Hawal area of Srinagar by two masked men who entered into his residence as clients with files in their hands.  Soon after his killing, a SIT was constituted to investigate the matter.
