After several days of break, a 23-year-old girl who had arrived from Delhi on Thursday morning was tested positive for Covid-19 in Bandipora on Friday, taking the total number of cases in the district to 135. An official told news agency, that a 23-year-old girl from Nadihal has tested positive for Covid-19.

He said that she had arrived from Delhi on Thursday morning and was already under administrative quarantine. “Total number of cases in the district now stands at 135 of which 13 are active while 121 patients have been cured and discharged so far after 4 more patients were discharged today,” he said. “Since the first case was identified on March 24, the district had reported 134 positive cases so far of which, 121 patients have recovered which means that almost 98 per cent of the infected had made a complete recovery” he said.

The patients who were discharged from the hospital after recovery from Covid-19 infection belong to Gund-Jahengeer, Naidkhai, Gund-Dachina, Gund-Qaiser, SK Bala, Kehnusa, Tanghat, Pethkoot and Konan. He said that the positive development began on 04 May when 12 patients were discharged after successful treatment from various hospitals. “No fresh coronavirus case was reported for the last mora than a week,” he added—(KNO)
