Srinagar October 07 : Prominent Socio Political Activist Basit Hayat Zargar said Eid-e-Milad of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) holds a special position in the Islamic history which marks the end of ignorance and beginning of a new era of peace and serenity.

He said Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) provides us an opportunity to pray and seek forgiveness and blessings from the Almighty for the entire mankind. He hoped that this sacred occasion will usher in an era of peace, brotherhood and amity in Jammu and Kashmir.
