Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir

In a powerful and resolute message, Basit Hayat Zargar, Youth President RLD J&K and President WNRI Minority Federation Chief J&K and Leh Ladakh, Ex MLA Cd Hbz Constituency has extended his wholehearted and unequivocal support to the visionary Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan spearheaded by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

Terming the initiative as a “defining mission of our times,” Basit Hayat Zargar stated that drug abuse is not merely an individual affliction but a deep-rooted societal crisis that shatters families, destabilizes communities, and robs the youth of their destiny. He emphasized that the fight against drugs must be waged with unity, urgency, and unwavering commitment.

“The menace of narcotics is a silent war against our society. It is eroding our moral fabric and compromising the future of our young generation. The Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan stands as a beacon of hope and a decisive step towards reclaiming our society from this grave threat,” he asserted.

While lauding the initiative, he also placed on record his deep appreciation for the tireless and courageous efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Narcotics Control Bureau, and all allied enforcement and intelligence agencies who are working relentlessly on the ground to curb drug trafficking and dismantle networks involved in this menace across Jammu & Kashmir. He acknowledged their dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding society.

He stressed that awareness, prevention, and community engagement must go hand in hand to eradicate this menace from its roots.

Basit Hayat Zargar further reaffirmed his personal commitment and institutional resolve to actively support and strengthen this campaign at every level, ensuring that its message reaches the grassroots and inspires meaningful change.

“With determination in our hearts and unity in our actions, let us stand shoulder to shoulder in this national mission. Together, we can build a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir and secure a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous future for generations to come,” he added.
